I don't work out, but... I do have a pair of tennis shoes that I only wear for long walks or hikes or if I happen to randomly work out.

I don't, because I don't like to wear sneakers unless I'm working out. My everyday shoes are usually sandals in the summer and boots in the fall and winter.

I've been wearing my usual sneakers to work out at the gym, and having problems with my ankles. I finally went to a running shoe store and they said that my shoes were awful for workouts and running. Oops!

Apparently I over pronate and also, my arches need support. The answer they said (with no conflict of interest at all whatsover) was to buy fancy new shoes, so I did in desperation... and wow, what a difference! I am hopeful that my ankles will feel better, and once they do I am going to start running again.
