If this is our last baby (probably will be), we'll be 50 when she goes to college-- pretty sweet! We TTC'd for 8 months, so I wish it had happened a little sooner, but we are much more emotionally and financially ready than we were even a year ago. Our TTC plans and timelines in the last 1.5 year of marriage changed so drastically, but at the same time -- am so happy to have gotten pregnant when we did :) I'll be 29 with our first... and hopefully 30/31... 32/33 for future LOs (if we make it that far!)... I'll be my mom's age when she had me and I think it's perfect for our family! I think this is the perfect time in my life for kids. Still young enough to have energy but old enough to have done what I wanted before getting pregnant. My DH wishes he was younger, he will be just about 34 when our LO arrives, and he doesn't want to be the "old" dad. I think somedays he has more energy than I do and told him not to worry! Our first was a surprise, and we always say if we hadn't had that surprise, we would probably have waited until we were in our 30s, but we love being young parents, so we're glad everything worked out how it did. I had my first a couple weeks after I turned 26 and will have my second when I'm 28. At 28 my surprise twins came along and I was 30 with my little girl. I started trying at 25 when we got married so I kind of wished we hadn't gone through the several years of trouble but my husband and I are pretty happy. I'm glad I was able to spend my early 20's on building myself and my home. We waited quite a while to get married due to outside reasons. I'm pretty confident if not we would have had 2 kids by now. We started trying when I was 28, so I guess I assumed I would have kids at 29 and 31. But I think they came at the right time in our lives. sometimes i do wish we were younger though so we'd have more energy like i did in my 20's! days like today..... i'm pooped, and am gonna go to bed very shortly. I'll be 51 by the time Olive graduates high school, and probably in my 60's when she gets married! what about you?
