I spend 24/7 with the baby and time before and after school with the 5 year old. He goes to his bio-moms house every other weekend. Our families aren't close enough to babysit on a regular basis (or perhaps we just don't ask enough...or at all) so I feel like my LO is attached to my hip.i love him and all but some more me time, aside from after he's in bed, would be great. The weekends are great because we spend all day together. She's at such a fun age (2.5 yo). @mrbee: you could get a weekend nanny? that is what my friend does for 1/2 day on saturday or sunday. My DH works on Saturdays and I have her from 7 am - 3 pm when he gets home. That feels like a lot of time to me! But I do enjoy it. On the weekends though, I spent all day with the kids... which I love doing for the first day. But by the second day, I am not as warm-hearted about it... I wouldn't mind getting less time with the kids on Sunday. A half-day would be perfect for me. I feel pretty bad admitting that! As a working parent, aren't you supposed to crave weekend time with the kids? Maybe I'm just wired wrong, or doing something wrong... Do you wish you had more time or less time with your LOs?
