I think you could pull off your current schedule while LO2 is an infant if you put LO1 in preschool or daycare f/t. But elsewise, it may be a struggle! My situation is a little unique in that my LO goes into daycare and I go to work 2 days a week. Then I have 9 hours a week where I WAH and unless I have a meeting, I keep LO with me (YES I know it's technically not allowed but as long as I get my work done, my boss has allowed it). It has worked out decently so far because I can spread my hours out but man, it's getting tougher and tougher (LO is now 14 months).</p> <p>My big dilemma is coming... #2 arrives in August and I am quite sure my work won't allow me to continue WAH w/o childcare nor will I be able to get anything done! Honestly, I just got so much better at maximizing my time, and doing what HAD to be done right away with her either in my lap, in her swing, in her stroller, and I did everything else while she was napping. I would have to facilitate conference calls and training sessions which would be near impossible with him screaming in the background. But my mother did. She seemed to manage her time quite effectively, and was great at multitasking. I think since it's always been this way, he's used to it. He entertains himself more than other children and has an outrageous imagination. He also still naps for 2 hours a day so I rush to get as much done as possible during that time. I also break up my day so he's getting plenty interaction from me. We will do an activity for 30 minutes and then I will work for an hour. So then he's not bothering me for my attention the entire time. So far it's worked out pretty well. Her son is two months older than Charlie, and she's never had childcare! I think she's just super efficient with her time -- a skill that I obviously need to improve!</p> <p>I got a glimpse of just how hard it is when Charlie was out sick from daycare Thurs-Monday.
