Having a speech delayed kid totally makes me extra paranoid now. So yes, I worry quite a bit!

Yes, I totally do. I try to remind myself that all babies are different, but I think it's kind of hard not to compare and worry about it.

I never worried with WJ for some weird reason... and I never worried about LMW until I started comparing her with WJ! Then I started to worry. Of course it doesn't help that I'm learning about friends and friends-of-friends whose babies are getting diagnosed on the autism spectrum.

DS is still in utero and I'm already worrying about him! I was always a worrier so I'm sure it'll only get worse once DS is here. =\

I don't really; and I try hard not to worry. It's so easy with the internet to get worked up over nothing, and that's no good for anybody! As long as LO is progressing and not regressing, I'm a pretty happy mama. LO didn't crawl until 2 days before she turned 10 months, and I was just starting to wonder if she would crawl at all - they get there :)

I was concerned about speech (adding new words specifically) and I had my son evaluated because I couln't bear to think that maybe the reason was as simple as him having a blocked tube in his ear.

So, yes I worry, but I do try to compare LO to himself, not to other children.

I used to. Especially because for every doctor apt they ask you if your LO does certain things, and my answer would always be no. Did she roll over? Does she clap? Does she point? Is she cruising? Is she walking? No no no! But then a week or two later she would do those things and all was good. Except walking..... it took her months to get that one down and we almost took her to a specialist. But eventually she walked :)

As long as she consistently changes, I don't worry. She hasnt given me a reason to yet!

I did quite a bit until a couple months ago! P is/was "behind" in quite a few social & cognitive milestones... she's caught up alot & I'm realizing that she's just on her own little timeline so I don't worry anymore. =)

i've definitely had moments where i check hb or google to see what milestones DS has hit and has not hit for his age-- i try to keep in mind that every baby is diff, but as a ftm-- it def crosses my mind!
