Thank goodness for online bill pay!! I used to write them for rent only, but the complex we're at now lets you pay with cards. I admit to being totally annoyed and frustrated when I'm stuck behind someone at the grocery store who's writing a check! DH, though, still writes them for all his bills and it drives me nuts. I pointed out how easy it is to do it online through our bank, and even offered to pay all the bills, but he doesn't like paying any way other than a check and said paying his bills makes him feel like a man, lol. I also hate waiting for them to get cashed! ETA oh yeah and wedding gifts. The rent checks still have my maiden name and old address on it (from 2 and 3 years ago). Our landlord is really slow to cash checks, too, so it's very annoying.
