I absolutely loved it. Every minute of it. I was so nervous of getting PPD because i had depression earlier in my pregnancy, but it was like a dream! I felt like some cheese ball commercial lady because I love(d) it so much.

@hilsy85: same here minus BFing pain.

I struggled the first few weeks and didn't fully enjoy them. I was a crying/ hormonal mess. Motherhood has been a tough adjustment for me. At 4 weeks things started getting much better/easier and I started enjoying him more and more. Now he's 9 weeks and I just love being around him. Sometimes I wish I could've enjoyed those first weeks a bit more.

@Maysprout: Thank you :-)

@PrincessBaby: that's great that her levels are improving. A isn't fussy at all either, she only cries to feed or if we put her down - and I can't be mad about that, I love holding her. I think an easy baby makes it much easier to enjoy.

@Mrs. Jacks: me too. I'm 32 now and feel like I waited a long time for the right time and now I'm SO ready for her that it really helps me lap every moment up.

I am paranoid about sickness & her health (the jaundice bilirubin is improving finally but we're still following it very closely so that still stresses me...We go get blood tests every 2-3 days)...But other than that - I am enjoying the NB phase really bc she is such an easy baby. She only really cries when hungry, and she gives tons of hunger cues before it goes that far. And she's done great with BFing, so I really just marvel all the time at how lucky I am. I know things could change later but for now, she is prety amazing!

@travelgirl1: I think he was too young to really be bothered by it, but I don't believe it is painful. He did have to wear it for a certain number of hours a day so I think that was the stressful part for my friend. However, it was off by the time he turned one and then he started walking normally a few months after that.

@Andrea: I'm glad your friend's little boy is fine now. I didn't realise they could wear the brace for that long though. Did baby cope with the brace okay? My biggest fear if she needs one is if it hurts her.

@Mrs. Tricycle: yeah the crying can be difficult. Hope baby boy starts sleeping better for you soon.

I had a rough time in the newborn phase. LO had colic and she cried/screamed more hours in the day than not. After she was 4 months, things started settling down and I had finally figured out what I was doing. Months 5-8 were soooooo fun for me. But, right now, at 16 months, LO is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun. She plays, eats well, sleeps through the night, and is able to communicate simple things to me (being hungry, thirsty, tired) and she's just a joy.

Yup. I had a hard time with breastfeeding and had to supplement but I loved that phase and everyone after it so far! She has been a great baby, I think that helps. I did have a lot of anxiety when she was younger (and still do, but not as bad) but I really have enjoyed every stage with her so far.

I loved it. But I was also so happy to have my baby out of the NICU that nothing could bother me. The 10 days he was in the NICU were the worst days of my life though. Each day gets better and DS gets more amazing each day.

At 3.5 weeks in, I like the newborn phase -- as long as he's sleeping or nursing. When the crying starts (which happens pretty regularly), I'm not a fan.

The first week was horrible. I was such an emotional wreck and I was so anxious that I was miserable. But after we hit the one week mark things got better and better. M is 3 weeks old today and while we still have our rough moments (like the nights that she fusses non stop from 10pm to 1am) she is absolutely the best thing that ever happened to me and I love being her mama.
