They use the kids flossers.<br /> Their dentist has a flossing chart with stickers. Fill up the chart with stickers (usually 20-25 spots) and you can bring the chart back to the office and get a prize or healthy treat. Probably twice a week or so. They girls actually don't mind the flossing, it's just a matter of us remembering.</p> <p>LO1 has touching molars on all sides, so we try to floss there. That was where she has the most plague at her last visit. LO's teeth are extremely close together and he has very little space. At his last visit, the dentist told us that we need to take extra care to floss because of how close the spacing is. I have major guilt when we don't do it because I'm nervous about it. We used those flossers for a long time and at 4 we switched to regular floss. Her dentist told us to floss bc her teeth all touch in the back and that's where cavities can develop. She had a tiny spot we were watching so he said to stay on top of it. At 5 we floss every night and at her last check up the spot is fine and the dentist says she has great teeth. The dentist said she had good space and didn't need it, but it's never too early to build good habits. We used the floss sticks above. She really liked doing it until she got carried away and made her gums bleed. Now she's not interested anymore.
