It was a first grade class. And my partner teacher taught Mon &amp; tues, and I taught Thursday's and fri. And on wednesdays we alternate because Wednesday's were shortened days for staff meetings. We also lesson planned with other grade level teachers on wednesdays and every Friday we would talk on the phone to fill each other in on how the week went and what we were planning for the coming week. We also talked on other days as needed. At that school there were a few teachers who job shared, the principal was very supportive of it for working moms, and there were no concerns that we heard of from parents. My partner teacher returned full time when her son went to pre school and I had the lowest seniority at the school so I had to move to another school. Currently I am teaching 80% but since it's middle school, I don't need to "share" it with anyone, I'm just assigned one fewer period that I teach. They were such awesome teachers. I would have LOVED my kid to be in this class.
