I tore my lateral meniscus which started chipping away at my knee cap and the bone holding it up when I was in 8th grade, but didn't find out about it until 7 years later. It's been 5 years since my surgery, and my knee still aches when there's weather changes. Boo.

I broke my collar bone when I was little and it used to ache when the weather changes. But not any more. I would say maybe ten years after I broke it I stopped feeling any pain ever.

No broken bones, but my broken brain (migraine brain) can absolutely tell when the barometric pressure is dropping and a storm is approaching.

@mrs. bird: Ah ok. I have that same superpower, except I get headaches when the air pressure changes!

@mrbee: & @highwire: Hahaha! <3

@mrbee: Not rain specifically, but the pressure change that often accompanies rain or snow. Or like today, it's supposed to drop 12 degrees for the predicted high & rain tomorrow, so I could tell you tomorrow's weather is going to be different with my arm. It's a superpower I'd gladly pass on. Kind of like having a nose that can predict changes in pollen counts =P

@mrs. bird: I remember a book I read as a kid where someone became a weatherman because they could tell when it would rain... b/c their bones would hurt!

Can you predict the weather with yo bones? Because that would be kind of awesome!

Weather changes always affect my broken leg! Sometimes it's a dull ache and other times it's much more sharp.

@mrs. bird: I broke the same bones! Luckily everything stayed inside...I shudder to think about having the bones make an appearance! Anyway, I now have two plates and thirteen screws in my arm and when the weather changes, I can feel it!

Today my arm is annoying the crap out of me! I had a bad compound fracture (bone out through skin) of my radius & ulna (the two bones in your forearm) a long time ago, but even after having them rebroken and set again, they didn't heal right and now I have limited range of motion & they hurt every time the weather is turning : (

Do your mended broken bones ache due to weather/pressure changes? Did they ever stop or do you think they'll just be that way forever? Also, any relief suggestions are always apprieciated!
