We met when our oldest kids were babies, and now most of us are pregnant or just had our second. A few people want to have three and the rest of us are two and done, so I guess at some point there will be friends who have more kids than me. We're the only ones our of our group to not have kids. DH doesn't have any friends who don't have kids and I only have 2. We are on #3 and not 100% sure we are done so we are definitely not the norm among our friends. A lot of my childhood friends have 3 or more, and 4 seems to be the norm within our group of friends from church. Ivan only think of one off hand with two. But most of our friends have none. Most of our friends are through DH's company, and the demographic among employees is mostly young, nerdy, single guys. It's shifting as the company gets older, but because it requires employees to move a lot, it will probably always be more attractive to people without too many kids. I'm talking about friends we've known for a long time, at least since college! Our family seems to have larger age gaps, which is what we'll have if we have another.
