The two moms I am closest with have similar, laid back parenting styles. I do have friends with other parenting styles but we aren't that close.

Most friends are pretty similar.

I have a friend that I've known for many years and her parenting style/philosophy is totally different than ours... like complete opposite.

I'm like the super A-type in my friend group. I research everything... figure out what the best products are for LO and a bunch of other stuff... and of course I'm a hellobee-er.

All my friends seem to be more easy going than me about parenting which is great for them. I have definitely become the person that they ask when they have causal questions about anything baby related. I'm always happy to answer. :)

I'm actually pretty casual in the A-type world (aka one big one is we don't have a schedule for LO... that just never worked for us) so my friends and I have a great relationship.

I wouldn't say we all have the same parenting views and styles but one thing I've noticed it that we all try to have fun, laugh at the little stuff, and not take ourselves too seriously (even if we take parenting seriously).

How do you and your friends compare when it comes to parenting styles/views? Are you pretty similar, or worlds apart?

I think we are pretty similar to our friends with most of the major parenting styles/views. The only times we ever seem to clash is when it comes to discipline/redirection when we are together for a playdate. DH and I are always making sure our LO's aren't doing things they shouldn't be, are using kind words, apologizing, asking permission etc. We have one set of friends whose kids are free to run wild, and while that is ok at their house it's a little disrespectful (in my opinion) to do at our house. Overall though, I can't complain, we are friends for a reason :)
