my daughter brings a blanket and her lovey to school for nap time. They aren't allowed to bring any other toys/items from home. We actually have a duplicate lovey which stays at school on her cot for the whole week and come home on Fridays to be washed.

nope, god forbid something happen to Pinky or Bunny. We would be in real trouble. They are on house arrest, except for if she spends the night with the grandparents.

We keep an A&A lovey at daycare and one at home. But lately he's been a little Linus and won't let it go, so it comes back and forth with him. I dread the day we forget it at home one morning...

My daughter doesn't leave the house without her stuffed bunny. Everyone at daycare knows it's her bunny and that she won't share with anyone. My son sometimes bring a stuffed toy, but it's more to nap with.

My LO and her 2 BFFs all used to bring a doll each every day, and trade them back and forth and let others play with their dolls with no fights/issues (per multiple teachers!). This week though the director sent out an email to our preschool class saying that we can’t bring in toys from home, only lovies. Boo :bummed: stinks because they didn't cause any issues, and each looked forward to seeing what dolls their friends brought each day.

My daughter always wants to bring her lovey and or toys but I don't let her. Because if another kid gets their hands on it, it would be insane trying to pry it away from them + her attachment to them makes her crazy if another kid were to play with it. I think when they're older maybe, but 2 year olds are not good at sharing! LOL

My daughter doesn't bring any loveys or dolls with her to preschool, except on Friday (when it's show-and-tell).

My son likes to bring a small lovey and a very small doll (a baby fox) with him to Kindergarten. He hides them in his backpack. His teacher just emailed the whole class and said that the kids are allowed to bring their dolls/babies into class next week to read to them. He will be in heaven reading to Baby Foxy!
