Jaren's favorite book is a lift-the-flap book called "Princess Baby"! It's hard to know what else he likes because he's only one and hasn't shown too many preferences yet. He just likes to follow his big sis every where.

Noelle is both - she's all about princesses, my little pony, and her two favorite colors are pink and purple (she will only eat off pink and purple plates). She always wants to wear glittery, sparkly things with hearts and stars on them too. She always wants to do tea parties too. But she also LOOOVES cars and trains. She is always asking me to read from her Thomas the Train Golden Books, and she stole the hot wheels that J got for his 1st birthday recently and claimed them as hers.

Her favorite book is very gender neutral, about a boy and a girl. Her favorite TV shows are also gender neutral- Micky Mouse Clubhouse, Winnie the Pooh, and she loves Thomas which seems to be more of a boy show.

My DD follows the gender stereotypes exactly.. she is all about princesses.

My DS defies them.. he is all about princesses as well.. they fight over the pink toys and he was in awe of Cinderella when we were recently at Disneyland.

We took Charlie's lady friend to dinner tonight, and both kids asked for a story. I asked what they wanted the story to be about and she said, "Princesses!" Charlie said, "Transformers!"
