I try to limit my computer time in the evening, and whenever possible I say, "No I'm not working" and focus on them.</p> <p>But sometimes the kids are home during a work day (if they're sick or if it's a school holiday) and I do have to work. So I explain that while they may have the day off, I don't and that I have to work. But that I'll be taking a break later, and we'll hang out then.</p> <p>I almost never have "dad guilt" about being a working parent, but when the kids ask me if I'm working... I do feel guilty! Gotta work on that one...</p> <p>Do your kids ever ask you if you're working? </p>
