@anonysquire: so stinkin' cuteeee!

My son has recently started to pout, he is 28 months. First time he did it I had just snapped at him for something and it broke my heart. The next few times he was just playing me so I now think that first time was too as he did not get his way. He learned it from a kid at daycare, that kid is the king of pout. Tricky ass kids.

She hasn't really in the past (she's just very LOUD about what she wants!) but I have caught her practicing a pout face in the mirror this past week or so... So it's coming!'

@anonysquire: oh, those pics are priceless.

My son will give me a sad lip sometimes, but I think he's generally too young to really pout.

Yes! It's one of the funniest things he does (although I try to ignore it.) I think he got it from the Daniel Tiger frustrated episode (which is a better way for him to frame his emotions I suppose as "frustrated" than "pouting." He tries to cross his arms but can't figure out how.

Both kids do! DS just recently started doing this, but it's not a sad pout.. it's an angry pout! You can see the fury behind those big bright eyes, and then he sticks up his bottom lip and it even starts quivering.

My son never has (ever!) but my daughter pouts pretty regularly when she doesn't get her way. I just laugh because it's pretty hilarious, plus I don't want to encourage her.

Was wondering if pouting was a common thing with kids? Not sure where she learned it!
