DS is 10.5 months old, but he has recently gotten really interested stuffed animals and a little stuffed doll that he got as a gift. He loves to look at their faces and "talk" to them.

He takes them to the couch when he reads books with me. Sometimes we'll start reading something and he'll hop off the couch and bring back the appropriate stuffed animal (the other day we were reading A Lion in Paris and he went to find one of his stuffed lions).

She celebrates her Beanie Boos' birthdays, since they each have a birthday listed on the tag. We celebrated the birthday of "Bloom" yesterday by singing happy bday and having ice cream after dinner. She has at least 8 of them so we do a lot of celebrating.

Xander has a teddy bear that he's obsessed with. Teddy does everything with him - he'll sit at the table and eat dinner with us, and Teddy gets sent to timeout a LOT (Teddy's apparently not the best behaved teddy bear), and lately Xander pretends to nurse Teddy because he sees me nursing Logan.

She has just started the imaginative play with her stuffed animals and babies. She will sit them up and talk to them and tell them how they should be sitting. She also carries her little (like 4" tall) animals around and has them hug and kiss each other.

My son has these fox plushies from IKEA. He calls them Mama Foxy and Baby Foxy.

He recently lost his little Foxy and before we found it, we asked him if he wanted us to get him another Foxy family. He said yes, because then he would have a Daddy Foxy and a Sister Foxy. He was trying to recreate his own family with stuffed animals!
