DD1 has a forced smile unless it's a candid, DD2 has a natural smile that lights up her whole face, she's had it since day 1!

My kids do fine with cameras. I think they get it from DH. When I smile on camera, it still looks funny half the time :silly:

My oldest really lights up in front of the camera. Her school pictures are ridiculously perfect.

My middle is sometimes natural and sometimes really goofy. She is very quick to smile but is such a silly girl it's hard to catch her happy natural smile instead we get a lot of laughing funny face smiles. Love it anyway!

My third is only seven months but has developed a funny cheese face already. I can still catch good smiles from get though.

My Lo has a few different smiles, and her smile for pictures is definitely not her natural smile. It's still cute. :) But my favorite smile of hers is her "smile back" - like if I smile at her across a room. Be still my heart!

Her natural laughing smile is great! But yeah when you tell her to smile/say cheese, she looks hilarious! It looks SO forced hahaha.

DS is 3yo and has a gorgeous smile, but when you tell him to smile/cheese for the camera it's an ugly cheese face. LOL!!! He clenches is teeth together with spread lips while scrunching his nose and eyebrows together. No idea where or how he got that expression when we tell him to cheese! But when he's laughing or naturally smiling, it's the best. He's slowly losing the ugly cheese face now and I love it!

DD is still too young to command to smile (5 months), but getting her to smile equals chinky eyes and overly large smile. Exposed gums with her cheeks up high.

DD hates pictures. If I want a posed picture, I always have to bribe her and her smile is always forced. I can count 1 real smile I've been lucky to have captured in the past 2 years.

My son has a great smile that he can and does turn on at will.

My daughter has a really gorgeous smile but it's so hard to capture it! Her camera smile is not very convincing.

DS is like this. Try to get him to smile for a posed picture, candida are way better. At 3.5 he understands to smile at the camera but his smile is usually pretty cheesy.

Even his 3 month photos he is serious in every one. Our photographer had a good laugh about it v

My son is like you and Charlie! Pictures are awful and the best ones are when he's not expecting it and laughing at someone/something. He's always been like this - even as a baby! It was soo hard to get him to smile haha. It's crazy because I'm a super smiley person

My son has a great smile, but it only comes out when he's genuinely happy. He's like me: our smiles don't really come out naturally in pictures (unless they are candids, not posed). It takes 10 posed pictures to get one good one. Sorry buddy, my bad!

My daughter has a million-dollar smile and can produce it on demand. Plus she naturally hams it up for the camera. Every picture of her is ready for photo printing! Sometimes I amazed that we are related.
