My oldest has pretty low sleep needs. He wakes every morning around 4. He doesn't nap most days and he goes to bed at 8pm. My second wakes up early only because my oldest does and she wants to play with him before school but she typically takes a nap 3-4 days out of the week. My third has also started waking up...because...fear of missing out! She wants to play with her older sibs. She still takes an hour long nap midday and goes to bed between 6:30-7.

So my oldest (6) gets 8 hours, my second (3) gets 10 hours and my youngest (1) gets 12-13 hours with naps/nights.

They're both high needs sleepers. Though ds is almost 3 and doesn't nap most days. They both sleep 11/12 overnight and ds2 naps 3-4 times of varying length 30-2 hours.

@erinpye: my older is definitely on the low end of average. He's the same age as your older and hasn't taken a nap at home in 8 months (sometimes in the car though). He sleeps 10.5-11 hours at night too. My younger seemed lowish for awhile but he now seems pretty average. I hope it stays that way!!

No. DS1 is very low needs, and DS2 is higher (not crazy high, but above most of the "averages"). But DS2 is way larger, and therefore needs to eat far less frequently.

Nope--I have twins and one takes a max 1.5 hour nap while the other needs 2.5-3 hours. Infuriating!

Yes, both are low sleep needs though little brother sleeps a bit more than big brother did at the same age. And they both go to bed late no matter if I try for an early bedtime. Totally not like me.

Yes both are on the higher end. They both do 12 hour nights (DD2 usually has 2 to 3 wake ups though). My toddler naps 2 to 3 hours a day and my 6 month old totals about 4 to 5 hours of naps daily. In trying my hardest to get her to stay up a little longer after her second nap (she usually goes down about and hour prior to big sisters nap) so I can get a longer stretch of double napping but she just can't seem to make it past noon. (Usually wakes from her first nap around 945/10)

Yes-- and LOW. No naps at all for my 3 year old, and she hasn't napped for at least 6 months. Rarely my 21 month old will nap, about 45 mins. Both sleep about 10-11 hours overnight, usually STTN, but sometimes they still wake.

As a baby, T slept 10 hours on the button. His morning nap was 1.5 hours and his afternoon was 45 mins-1 hour. He slept basically 12.5 total hours in a 24 hour period.

R seems to sleep a little more...though he doesn't STTN, he usually sleeps 11 hours total (with one waking). His naps usually total 3 hours, too. His naps are inconsistent, but he naps longer overall usually!
