Nope. LO is in her nursery which is bigger than her eventual big girl room. In the future once future LO 2 is done with the crib, I will see if we need to switch them so the oldest gets the bigger room.. That was how it went in our house! I got first dibs on room haha.

Our kids rooms are not the same size. I've never been concerned about this. When I was a kid, my brothers room was a lot bigger than mine. It never even crossed my mind that size was an issue because that was just "his room" and mine was my room.

I don't think it will matter! I grew up as one of 6 kids and was in 3 different rooms growing up (first shared, then on my own as older kids went off to college) and for at least 5 years my room was the smallest. I liked it! It was cozy. At that point, my older brother had the coolest room (it had a loft) and my little sister had the biggest room.

Eventually my brother moved out and the loft room was mine for the rest of high school. I was never jealous or upset over it!

They won't. Our house is a 3 bedroom Cape Cod, so our bedroom is actually an addition. DS will move into the old "master", which is much larger than the nursery. Closets are the same size. However, we are keeping the guest bed in DS' new room for now, so it doesn't matter. We are hoping to move by the time the kids would care about room size. @pui: see, and I shared a room from age 2-22, and I didn't care!

All 3 kid rooms are pretty comparable. Except, one of them has an attached bathroom and the other 2 rooms have to share a bathroom. No idea how I'm going to tackle that one...

DD1 has the biggest room in the house. dD2 might eventually share it, but for now she's in a tiny room between ours and DD1s ( like a little breezeway). Right now they're too small to care, and DD2's room is adorable with mobiles, wall art, a vintage mirror, and a nice rug, so it's not like the space is sn afterthought. :)

Our upstairs has two possible kid bedrooms, one is twice the size of the other and has a huge closet as well. We only have one LO right now (TTC LO2) and he's the oldest so he gets the bigger room. DS is likely to move out first so LO2 can have the bigger room then.

They'll be pretty comparable. Technically D's room is a foot longer than our future Baby #2's. But his room doesn't have a closet jutting out into it, it's more recessed. So they're pretty comparable.

We did save the biggest room (besides ours) as a guest room, and I hope we don't get arguments about that. For one the closets in that room suck because they're under dormers, and we know we want two kids and I thought it would be more equitable for them to get the two similarly sized rooms. Plus my parents mostly use the guest room and it fits a king comfortably, which one of the other rooms would not.

I am kinda worried about this.

Our new house has 3 "kids" bedrooms. One is HUGE with it's own huge en suite. The other two share a big bathroom, but are smaller rooms. I'm kind of hoping we have 1 girl and 2 boys so that it makes sense lol. I definitely think 2 girls would argue over the en suite bedroom. Also that bedroom is SO big I almost feel two kids should share it... but I hated sharing a room as a teenager.

Their rooms are different sizes. But we won't be here forever, so I don't think it will be an issue.

Our future child will have a smaller room than M b/c her's is the old master and she has a walk-in closet. Hopefully there won't be too much jealousy/arguing in later years.

Similar but DD has a HUGE closet - I told DH that girls need more closet space :silly: so we moved DS to other bedroom when DD was born

Ours don't, and I worry about them arguing over it when they get older. When we moved into our house, I originally had the girls in similar sized rooms next to each other. But I had to move DD2 into the small guest room at the front of the house because she kept waking DD1 (super light sleeper) up with her crying at night.
