But that's pretty much the same reason why I don't like berry picking during the summer. There's tons of delicious wild berries in our surrounding forests (with trails and a running path). I love taking walks out in the forest, but as soon as soon as you stop for a second, you get 3 mosquito bites. 1 wild raspberry = 1 mosquito bite. The kids absolutely loved them, even though we usually didn't go anywhere. It was just fun to spend time together as a family, out of the house.</p> <p>Last year we moved to a place with mosquitoes, and now I never want to leave the house in the evenings. Afternoons are out too, because it's pretty hot here. We'll have to figure out a new time of day to go on walks together... or maybe all get long pants and shirts to protect us from bites.</p> <p>Do your kids like to go on family walks? </p>
