@Andrea: @808love: I'm hoping this is the case! I'm kind of nervous about my little Mr. Know It All starting school this coming week! :silly:

I assume DD listens quite well b/c they always talk about how great she is at school! She's probably the type that behaves super well for others but not so well for mom & dad :silly:

@Andrea: That's reassuring. LO is pretty good in class so far. I say that with tentative high hopes.

Yeah, the teachers don't believe it when I say they aren't always like that at home, but I guess that's pretty typical. I've heard most kids save their worst behavior for their parents.

Lo listens SO well to her teachers! Like, they told me they had never heard her say "no" until a day this spring, like a year after she regularly said it to us

Yes she listens really well, she's just so shy so my kid is the one that just sits there while the others run around chaotically. But more due to shyness, I think. She is a good listener overall though.

My kids do usually listen to their teacher, much better than they listen to us parents. But sometimes one of the kids will have a rough day, and won't be in a mood to listen very well. Then the teacher gets a taste for what it's like to parent our little tykes!

One time, my son was in a really bad mood and not listening at all, and he said something to the teacher that really shocked him! I was really nervous when the teacher asked to sit down with me to discuss it. The teacher told us what my son had said, and I was so relieved and told him, "Oh that's not a big deal, he says that all the time!"

Usually though, the kids really listen well to the teacher! Have to admit, sometimes I get a little jealous.
