<p>I've noticed that as the kids get older, they're asking for more new books that they've never read before (or only read a few times)! They still have their old favorites that they ask for regularly, but it's more balanced now. Whereas before, it was almost all older books that we had already read together. Both of my kids went through a phase where they really enjoyed pretending to "read" books that they had memorized.
