I give her one of those snack cups (with the lid but also with the plastic flaps they can put their hands in) filled with cheerios and I pull it out as soon as she starts getting fussy. It usually takes her enough time to eat them I can finish. But I have a limit to about 45min because that's about the longest she can take.

I run half marathons with DS, so he spends quite some time in the stroller while I train/race. He's been running with me since he was born, so it's a norm to him. He keeps himself entertained, and I usually bring cereal for him to eat. I usually bring the IPad when I run a half marathon as a back up, but I've never had to use it.

I have a city mini double and my kids fit very comfortably in it. However they do start getting antsy after not that long, which means trying to get long walks in (or light jogging, HAHA) is torturous. I don't have a treadmill/elliptical and I'm not joining a gym til fall.

Are there any tricks to keeping them quiet? I would like to not have to resort to electronics but will if I'm desperate. I can try to get the older (3.5) to look for things, play I spy, etc. But the 1.5 is trickier!
