She kind of does (thank you Daniel tiger!) but then doesn't always take it easy on me anyway. But when I don't feel well she comes over and puts her hand on my should and says "are you ok mommy?" In the sweetest little voice. And then she will kiss or hug me and say "all better!"

Then she resumes tearing apart the living room or jumping on the couch or whatever she was doing.

Kind of, but then he usually says he's sick too. It must be something akin to empathy...

My son does. He has a sensitive little soul. When he was 2.5 and I was pregnant with LO2 and having some nausea, he would ask me if I needed to lay down on the couch to feel better. He is also very concerned when kids at school are sick. He made 5 get well cards for a girl who recently broke her arm.

When you're really sick, does your child understand? Do they give up some of the things you typically do in the day with them, knowing this is only temporary? Do they try to make you feel better?

I'm miserably sick right now and last night my daughter came into my room to ask for something (I don't even remember what now). I walked her back to her room, told her I couldn't stay a few minutes because I was too sick. She actually said, "Okay mommy, feel better" and rolled over in her bed. Sweetie.
