The ILs have done some weird things, like my FIL lied to my mom about his whereabouts at our baby's Christening and my MIL made them a half hour late for our wedding rehearsal (and my mom hates being late) and she is very high strung and difficult. They split childcare of LO during the week. So they coordinate scheduling conflicts with each other before they even involve me. Also, my ILs went and stayed with my parents over Christmas a couple of years ago, while DH and I, and my brother and his gf were also visiting. It was a really full house! Anytime my parents come to visit, my ILs make sure to drive up (2+ hrs) for dinner or a weekend stay.
