My mom is really good about the schedule probably because there are six grandchildren under age 5 and my SIL with the oldest kids was very adamant about their schedule when they were little. On the other hand, my MIL wrote everything down, but it wasn't on schedule at all. Everything was about 1-2 hours late. Hubs is the same way.

They do try to follow the schedule, but babies are babies and sometimes things don't happen as they should! As long as the effort is there, I'm cool with it.

Um, not really. They will half-heartedly follow a schedule. They don't get to see LO much, so I try not to get too upset about it.

My mom was actually really good about writing things down and following my schedule. I'm pretty surprised actually!

My mom is seriously a gem when it comes to things like this. We don't have a strict schedule with P but I did with G and she always followed it.

DH and I were actually talking last night about how lucky we are to have a grandparent like she is... G and I lived with her for 4 years and she never under-minded me or went against my rules/schedules/wishes. She is definitely "grandma" and spends lots of fun time with G and will with P too as she gets older but she respects whatever I ask of her in regards to them.

G's other grandparents, not so much and DH's parents aren't that involved. =/

They sort of get it. They'd rather play with LO that respect her nap time, so they don't put her down for a nap until she gets fussy. But they do observe bedtime and feeding schedules (for the most part).

I have a schedule written down and I verbally tell my parents what's next each time and it still doesn't happen. I appreciate their help so I don't say much, but I just find it amazing that they do not get baby schedules at all! Do yours?
