Our cat is super clingy. She follows us everywhere (me more than Hubs), including into the bathroom. When I get up in the morning and am in the bathroom putting on my makeup, she is in there with me, playing in the tub. We don't let her sleep with us because she always curls up between us and then we're afraid we'll roll onto her. But otherwise, she is rarely more than 5-10 feet from one of us. She used to exclusively be a mama's girl, always sitting on my lap, but now that my belly is in the way, she sits with Hubs a lot more. She attempted to sit with me last night and baby was moving around a lot - she got up, turned around, and started pawing at my belly! It was pretty funny.

our lab mix is such a momma's boy - to be fair I made him that way - when he was a pup my favorite thing was watching tv with him laying asleep on my chest. He sleeps with us every night and most nights that means me spooning the dog.

DH calls our dog my "soul familiar" because he follows me EVERYWHERE. He is seriously attached to my hip. It is pretty typical for Pugs though and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Our Golden Retriever is affectionate, but not at all clingy.

Yes! Our cat just likes to come to the bathroom with us or sit with us. Our dog is way worse. The other night, DH was going back downstairs after helping with LO's bedtime routine and apparently the dog got under his feet and he fell down half the stairs. He also thinks he needs to be in someone's lap at all times.

ohhh yes. our dog used to be really bad. We moved about 6 months ago and she's kind of found her freedom, though. She would rather lay on her own these days than be in my lap :( Its really probably a good thing with the baby coming soon, but I still miss cuddles!

Yes. One of my boston's has started whining at us when we won't pay attention to her or if we're paying attention to the baby. The other one just sits really close. She doesn't make noises or shake, though...usually. The young one has become a whining brat ever since M showed up.

Oh and unless there is a sunspot, they follow us everywhere. And try to steal our pillows if we get up in the night. Thumper has learned she can have my spot but when I come back, she better skeedaddle.

@Leialou: @littlek: @chibee: @Rescuemom10: Aren't Chihuahuas the best!?!?! hahaha, seriously, I am biased though. I love my chihuahuas! They are born and raised for one purpose only - to be a companion dog! So yup, our lil chihuahua girl is pretty clingy in that she always wants to be around people. But usually she's just napping on the sofa near us, or cuddling if we are on the sofa or in bed. My first chi was a boy (he's my sister's now) and HE is SUPER clingy and would follow you in every room and to the bathroom, etc. Actually I loved it! They just did better apart so they each got more solo attention.

@MrsCB: Our girl LOVES her beauty sleep too! She will go back to the bedroom if DH is still in there after her morning outing. And at night, at a certain point she will walk herself to the bedroom.

@Leialou: ahh, thats cute though! One of my first siamese cats i got when i was 10 became my new dress up toy. I would put little dresses on her like a doll. Angel loved the attention. As she got older, and Im talking she lived until she was 18....She became the most clingy, meow-y little chatter box that wouldnt quit. seriously, she wouldnt stop even at night she would be meowing......She would meow constantly. She's probably meowing in kitty heaven right now :)

Some of ours are some are not.

As far as Chihuahuas...no surprise there. I have one Chi and one Chi mix, plus I foster and work for a Chihuahua Rescue and have up to three more in my house when I foster. Chi's are known to be clingy. They love their people. I love it!

Some of our pets that normally are not so clingy have been clingy since I have been pregnant. Its kind of annoying having so many dogs and cats wanting to TOUCH me at all times, but I understand they dont know any better and to them they just know "something is different with mommy". Love my furbabies.

Extremely. When he senses we're going to leave, he starts to whine and shake. He follows us into the bathroom and the shower.

He also doesn't like when we're both home and not in the same room. He goes back and forth between both rooms and will not settle down until we're next to each other.

My dog used to sit on the opposite end of the couch with me when she was younger. Now she cuddles with me as much as she can which is all the time! Not sure if it's b/c she gets jealous when she sees both of my boys cuddling with me. I love it sometimes and I don't sometimes b/c I like my space. But I should really enjoy it b/c she's getting old...turning 12 soon!

Not to me , but two of our cats are super clingy with DH. There's always a cat on his lap when he's sitting, they go into the bathroom with him when he poops and sit on the rim of the tub when he takes a bath. And they both sleep on him at night.

@.twist.: haha I used to threaten DH with enforced cuddle time if he didn't snuggle with me.

My dog is not clingy per se, but she's definitely not super independent either. Most of the time she follows me around the house for whatever I'm doing. But sometimes she's so lazy in the morning, she'll stay in bed for hours, even after I get up and go downstairs. It's so uncharacteristic it cracks me up. One time she didn't move from our bed until noon when I went to go check open her. (btw this is after DH gives her an early morning walk - just so no one thinks I'm an awful pet parent.)
