It's on an "honor system" so if you are sick you call in and it's paid, I would much rather they give me a set amount of days to use as I see fit. We are only allowed to take 10 per year, unless we go on maternity leave - then we can use up any that we have saved, since we don't pay in to state disability as teachers. Sick &amp; Flex days do not carry over. Our vacation doesn't either (we can carry over 5 days max for vacation). Which seems ridic if you're trying to save for a big holiday.
