@Mrsbells: oh yes of course. He was swaddled every night until he could roll over.

@Mrs. Pen: LO was like that and night time was hellish for us in the beginning. I'm hoping this time around our baby number 2 will be a better sleeper

I assume you already tried swaddling and things like the woombie?

@Mrsbells: I have the arms reach co sleeper. My son hated it. Never slept in it longer than 10 minutes.
We'll try it with this baby but I'm so desperate to find something that will allow me to sleep without holding the baby. It's the only way my husband and I slept was taking turns holding him. He would scream if we tried to put him down and as a newborn I wasn't about to just let him cry.

I say skip it. I was interested in it because a celebrity posted about it. I looked and passed on it.

I had posted awhile back about a similar product (http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/snuggle-me-organic-worth-the-price) and I think the consensus was that they are not really safe for sleeping. I tried a dedicated co-sleeper the first time around with my son, which didn't really work for us. He wanted to be held so the reason the dockatot and the snuggleme were intriguing to me was that it appears to give the baby the feeling of being held without actually having to hold them (particularly in the middle of the night)...

@Mrs. Pen: I thin kthey have actual dedicated co-sleeper options such as this that keep the baby close but safe

There was a thread here about this a month or so ago?
I'm curious on it being safe for sleeping too. My son did not sleep when he was a baby and I think he hated the firm open space of a crib/playard. Our of sheer desperation at five weeks, I let him sleep with me and he ended up co sleeping for four months.
I'm curious if something like this would work because i absolutely do not want to cosleep again.

Has anyone used dockatot? Is it safe to use for babies? The site said that the material is breathable.
