My second was also measuring big, they thought at 38 weeks he was over 8 1/2 pounds. DD was born exactly three weeks later, 7lbs, 10oz. She was 8lb 5oz when she was born four days late.</p> <p>With my second, an ultrasound at 41.5 weeks supposedly showed 9lb 5oz but she said that's give or take a pound. The midwife felt my stomach and guessed that it was probably closer to the lower end but that was a contributing factor to my induction just in case she was 10lb.
