However, in my town we have the biggest and best known children's hospital with a #1 rated NICU, so 24 is not viability there...they have seen much "younger". Every.single.day. after 24w was a huge blessing! I got to 40w & 3 days hehe. I'm a NICU nurse, and have taken care of babies as little as 23 weeks (23 weeks is considered "viability" in my city) but I know the outcomes are often not good. But I kept counting down till I reach 30 weeks. I really breathed a sigh of relief at 28 weeks, knowing that if I delivered that day, my baby would most likely survive and be healthy.
