Don't look like they were ever worn either! However, they are soft soled and $20, and even though I know that's a HUGE discount (and I would get a 20% employee discount) I can't justify the cost for something that would just fall off and not be practical at all. She was a newborn in Feb, so they were too big then, but by the next winter at 10-ish months, they were perfect! She wasn't walking til 13 months (near the end of winter), but it was fine... She still needed warm shoes when going out! This was in NY, btw. Every year after that, she got Emu's or some other Ugg-like brand each winter. I was excited when #2 was a girl too and thought I could pass everything down, but they were born in opposite seasons. So some things I just bought again, since the sizing was off and winter shoes/boots were one of them. </p> <p>Here in SoCal though, we got them both Uggs last year, but now I think it's overkill because it doesn't get that cold here. I loved them pre-baby and even when she was small, thought they were practical for our long, cold winters. </p> <p>Now that she's a toddler, I realize how impractical they are for us! It's usually wet here and places like daycare will leave the kids them outside for hours at a time - there's no way they'd be insulated enough for wet days (even with the stray on protection). On days when we just want to go to the store and she'll be in the stroller, they work, but I can think of cuter shoes for that. She can't wear them indoors because everyone takes off their shoes here.</p> <p>So basically, for our climate, they're not practical. If we had a drier winter I'd probably get them though. They're cute as hell and we have matching pairs, which is fun. They don't start having hard soles until size 6, so she has the small Erins now and I will just get her the hard sole ones next winter. The Erins are not super great for walking, but she prefers to walk barefoot (well to creep and push her toys barefoot) so she mainly wears them out and about. I think we get enough use and cuteness out of them to justify the price. Plus, if you look on eBay, you can easily sell them when your LO outgrows them and recoup most of your money. Now she wears Erin and I love them! They actually stay on her feet and keep them warm. It's hard for her to walk in them tho cuz they're alittle big and don't have a hard sole but she still wears them a lot when we're out and about. So id recommend those ones :happy: </p>
