@LovelyPlum: @Grace: Haha we also always forget the straps- it's like we paid extra for these "easy to move" straps and NEVER remember to adjust them!

@Grace: somewhat off topic, but every time my LO gets uncomfy in her Marathon, it's because I keep forgetting to adjust the straps! Then I do, and I wonder what took me so long!!

@HappyBaker: I don't know? I mean, their legs do dangle FF, which might be different pressure-wise. Let me know how it goes? We also have a Marathon that's one year old (the ClickTight), and so far, we've loved it. Our DD is 19 months old, so I'd be curious to see how your older LO responds to a different car seat!

@HappyBaker: mine did that in the marathon too. I realised the straps needed to be higher. Also, her jacket kept riding up and driving her crazy.

@LovelyPlum: Weird I wonder if its just the pressure of their back different FF vs RF. We just bought another (different) car seat that was meant for DS but I'm going to let her try it out and see if it feels better.

I don't know if this helps, but I was just reading a few carseat posts on The Car Seat Lady, and she had a reviewer who said their kiddo complained of this very thing when they switched to FF. Apparently, the complaints went away when they switched their kiddo back to RF. I'm not trying to say you should RF, just thought it might help

When we switched DS to his 3-in-1, he complained all the time that his back hurt and said he wanted his old car seat. We finally figured out that the padding wasn't completely flat, so he was a little crunched down. Once we straightened the seat and he sat up straighter he was fine.

We have a Diono Radian. LO complained that his back hurt in the same spot over the summer (so a few months before he turned 3). He hasn't complained recently. I never figured out what was wrong.

DD1 used to say that it hurt her in the same spot. I moved the straps and padding around to see if it helped. I never figured it out because she eventually stopped complaining about it.

@birdofafeather: yea she points to her mid back every time, and then wrangles like crazy trying to get out. I've pulled over a few times to try to help but nothing seems wrong with the seat!

DD hasn't ever said that and we drive a lot as well. Have you asked her where exactly while she's sitting in the seat?

We have a Britax Marathon that is a one year old, DD has been in it since she turned 2, she's now 3. We drive a lot because our family is 2-7 hours away, and recently even on short trips she says her back hurts from the seat. I've adjusted it can't find any place that might be poking her, anyone else experience this?
