I started as a nanny for a family of three, and when she had a fourth, my pay increased by 15% (I was salary). When that day came they gave me a pay increase. It wasn't as much as I was making per kid before, but it was nice to get the acknowledgment that there's more work to be done. I still make the higher amount even though the oldest child is in school the time I'm there. </p> <p>Like I said I don't have a super professional nanny job and I've become friends with the people I nanny for.
