I'm on the opposite side... My LP tends to be 10-12 days with spotting/brown CM 1-3 days before AF starts. My progesterone level at 5DPO was normal and even the new RE said the spotting/brown CM isn't a concern. I was "certain" I was having a progesterone issue. Unfortunately, whats normal or not seems to vary from person to person... :/

Unfortunately, no. I had a normal 14 day LP with no spotting but still had low P. My naturopath saw that my chart was a little slow to rise after O and tested me because of that.

No it certainly does not rule out a progesterone deficiency. There are several different types. I will try and find a link. You can actually have a normal length luteal phase and still have a problem.

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm not 100% sure, but from what I've read your LP should be no less than 12 days. I could be wrong!!

We are in our 13th cycle TTC, though we have had 2-3 cycles where timing was an issue. I have CD3 labs which were all normal. I consistently O CD15 (rarely CD14). My LP ranges 10-13 days, usually 11-12. I have no spotting until AF comes. My temps sometimes drop 10 or 11DPO, but rarely go under the coverline until 11 or 12DPO. I am in the process of changing insurance, so I can't get progesterone labs for a bit. How likely is a progesterone deficiency? Does a 11-12 day LP without spotting mean that it is fine/very unlikely?
