I was never able to just flush it out. </p> <p>I did have a UTI with no symptoms and it turned into a raging kidney infection. I never want to deal with that again. My doctor actually said if it's a true bacterial infection no amount of flushing your system out and over the counter treatment will clear it up. If you have something that goes clear up it was likely just irritation or a little inflammation. As @looch: mentioned, it could be urinary retention, which can lead to urine getting backed up into your kidneys and a kidney infection. In the UK, pharmacies give you this instead of antibiotics and it works so well for me. Last time it was post D&amp;C and I was heading to the doctor for a follow up anyway. This time i got a yeast infection with my period and then what feels like a UTI. I'm taking Cystex and it's helped but it's only been a day and I'm dying until about noon when the pain and urgency eases up a bit. I am treating the yeast infection as well, just wondering if I need to schedule an appointment or not. If not, what are your best UTI kicking tips? </p>
