My LO is a good eater too. He eats whatever I put in his mouth. Once in a while, he'll spit out something that has a weird texture (like cauliflower) but for the most part he'll eat 90% of what I put in front of him. He's a big porker.

Mine was a great eater until about 2 months ago. She's still not a bad eater, but she's a bit pickier with what she likes to eat.

mine is very similar to Mrs. Wagon's....he used to be an amazing eater and sometimes still is but he is going through a picky/independent phase where he wants more control of things, so sometimes he rejects foods we know he likes, or insists on not getting into his highchair, or feeding himself. but when he's on his a-game his eating abilities are quite amazing - we went to brazilian bbq once and he ate more than all of the adults at the table - it was pretty impressive!

Liv is a champion eater. We havent put anything in front of her that she hasnt eaten and loved - except purees. Ever since we went to BLW, she eats anything and everything. Makes it easy on us! Last night for dinner she had baked chicken (no skin,) quinoa patties (SO GOOD if you want the recipe!,) steamed baby carrots, beets, and broccoli. For dessert she had some baked apple and peach with cinnamon.

My LO's a GREAT eater SOMETIMES. I think she just knows what she likes. I nurse her a lot so she definitely eats better when she's hungry.

I have a champion eater. The amount of food my son puts away is astounding.

He's 14 months, and I haven't done anything special. He's a crap sleeper, maybe that is why?

@Rubies: Yeah, I'm jealous of Charlie's lunch too!
By most standards, LO is a good eater, but it doesn't mean that we don't still get frustrated when he refuses stuff that he normally likes just fine.

charlie is a bad eater. it stresses my mom out so much every time she visits because she can't believe what a bad eater he is. the reason it's hard is because he'll refuse foods that he likes regularly.

there are a couple kids in charlie's daycare who are great eaters. they love to eat his lunch!

My LO's a pretty good eater. I don't give her too much yet though, she's only 7 months old. She'll have an ice cube's size food (My ice cube tray makes pretty big cubes though) for breakfast and dinner. She'll usually eat it all no problem.

RJ used to be an amazing eater. And apparently at daycare he's still a great eater. When we feed him foods we know he likes, he'll eat a ton. But we usually have to feed him-- if he is left to his own devices and he's not that into it, he barely eats at all. But then sometimes he stuffs his face-- last night it was towards the end of his meal and he had a plate full of cold pasta left, and we turned our backs and when we turned back towards him, he had stuffed probably about 1/2 cup of pasta into his mouth all at once and was chewing for like 10 minutes straight. Haha.

He did go through about a 2 month picky phase where he just lived on yogurt, cheese, and scrambled eggs. I thought I was going to go nuts because he used to eat EVERYTHING. We used to go to b.good (a local "healthy" burger place) and he would eat turkey burger, sweet potato fries, and the whole wheat bun... and now all he will eat there is a hot dog.

But I can't complain... he eats a TON if we give him the right things and present it in the right way. Some nights when I make pasta and turkey meatballs, he'll eat a plate the same size as mine! 2 meatballs and tons of pasta.

All this gripe about babies who are terrible eaters! But are there actually any champion eaters in the house!! I thought these
Great eaters were a myth until my nephew started
Solids. I could watch him eat all day because he is such a great eater! But it makes me sad when I see him and my LO together cause she is such a bad eater! This girl just kills me!
