I've unfriended/unfollowed friends who constantly post about their stuff too! I think the people who make a bunch of money got in early and have tons of people under them. They of course tell you that too can be you, but I think there's a saturation point where you just aren't going to be that successful (with any company!). I'm having fun with mine right now! I don't have to keep an inventory so I'm not LOSING money. If I make some, awesome. I wasn't interested in doing the heavy lifting of convincing people to use my website vs the major sites they already knew &amp; used. 6-7 years later I still get solicitations regarding the business- lead generation services. My website was called Off The Beaten Path. </p> <p>Several people I know sell Avon or Mary Kay and have been successful. Unfortunately, I don't support their business because a) I don't wear make up often and b) when I do I like to try out products at Ulta or dept store with a real make up artist. </p> <p>An alterations lady I used a few times had a very successful Montavie business. I have bought a few things from a friend who is selling Origami Owl. She's pressing for additional sales, but I'm not 100% impressed with the quality. </p> <p>A cousin in law sells Bedroom Kandi and if I were physically closer to her and could attend a party she would definitely have me as a customer. Although my husband would probably not like that too much. I'm not sure how successful she is, but sex toys are expensive so her split is probably really good.</p> <p>It's tough sometimes with network marketing I want my friends and family to be successful, but I also want to spend dollars wisely on products I need/ want/ like. The worse is when a friend insists on giving me a (usually make up) sample and I still don't buy something. Ugh! I have friends that sell Pampered Chef, Thirty One, Do Terra, Passion Parties, Mary Kay, the list goes on! Now I sell Jamberry! It's fun, I get a discount, and have earned a good bit of money! I'd love to be one of those higher ups that make a ton of money and quit my day job, but I don't see that happening... Just paying off some debt with the extra money right now!</p> <p>Just curious if anyone else does direct sales (not to advertise your business or trying to get sales!), just for fun! What do you sell? Do you do it just for a little extra cash or discount or are you a serious money maker? Do you like it? </p>
