Yes! He's only 3.5 weeks and we've been to the doctor for weight gain issues, reflux issues, and GI upset. Don't even ask how many times I've called for questions too!

Yes! 5 ear infections. 2 ER visits(one in Canada!). A visit for reflux, RSV, a virus, a pediatric urgent care for possible obstruction. Visit for an adverse reaction to augmentin. An ENT visit and most recently an out patient surgery for tubes. I'm hoping things slow down. He's 14.5 months.

@MrsTiz: oh my word! that sounds miserable. but if there is a positive side, i'm assuming you get to hear or see the little guy, which i always enjoyed. hope you are feeling better!

@mediagirl: we're only a little over a month away from a year so i'm hoping it will be our magic number, too! so glad m is staying healthy.

@brownie: fortunately our visits have not once been for an illness. just random issues like diaper rashes, he split his lip that needed stitches, penis issues, the list goes on... i am thankful that he hasn't been sick, though.

@turkeylurkey: poor boy! sounds like he has been through it! i hope he is feeling better soon.

Yes! We've done 3 trips to the ER with of course the follow-up to the peds the day after. Plus we've had the routine check-ups and then an occasional cold. The docs think he has spasmodic croup which is the version of croup caused by an allergy to something. So we've got to figur out what that something is! It's been exhausting and I worry about him every night we go to sleep since that's when you have croup attacks.

It gets better because I don't feel he is as sick as he was. But it really didn't get better until 20 months. I swear we saw the doctor once a week until he was 6 months old. We finally got the gastro so now we got to add that to the mix. At 18 months old he started preschool and that is a whole new set of germs. Once we got those out of the system it hasn't been too bad.

YES. In her first year, we spent way too much time at the pediatrician. Since her first year, it hasn't been AS bad, thankfully...but we're only 1 month in. :)

Not at the ped but in the last 7 days I have been to the ER once, 2 side hospitals, and my OB 3 times and going tomorrow. So, in 7 days I have been to the doctor 7 times.

I honestly feel like our family alone keeps our pediatrician's office open. The past few months we have paid them a visit no less than 5 times, plus a trip to the ER. And all for legit reasons! LO is 10 months old and I am hoping things will start to taper off the older he gets.

Please tell me I'm not alone!
