Yes! Mostly just when they were newborns. I get even more anxious when kids/pre-teens ask told hold them...

Definitely. They are all in their 80s and 90s so when C was a baby, I would have them sit down for sure. Now he is just too big to even offer, but they are content to watch him run around.

No, never. They are all really good with kids. I DO get anxious when some of the uncles hold him. I have 3 teenage brothers and DH has 2. So, I watch them all like a hawk because they liked to rough-house.

My grandmother won't hold the baby herself actually- she is nervous that she isn't strong enough, which is probably true since she is not in great health. Dh's grandmother is absolutely fine. She doesn't really pick the baby up off the floor bc it's hard on her back and knees but I'm not at all nervous about her holding c.

My mom always supports the baby when my grandparents hold DS - but they aren't very mobile or strong, so they never take issue with that (and I'm sure prefer it).

I always would say something like "here, have a seat" or "let's go sit down" while I would hand my son over. I totally agree!!

Yes! DHs grandma is 95 and I told him when she holds the baby DH has to sit with her! Luckily he agreed.

We are at MILs for Easter and DH's grandparents are here. It makes me so anxious when his grandma holds DD. She is kind of crazy and clumsy and I cringe just thinking about her holding my LO. I'm so scared she's going to drop her or trip with her. UGHHH.
