Yes, we have exactly this problem. It's gotten to the point (at 12 months) where she now usually only takes one 30-minute nap each day at daycare, which is absurd. She's exhausted when I go pick her up in the evening, but they can't spend 30 minutes rocking her to sleep when they have other babies to care for too. I'm really hoping that now that she's moving into the next room at daycare things will get better. They have a set naptime for all of the kids in that room, and I think DD will sleep better if everyone else is sleeping at the same time. She did start napping much better at home recently, but she hasn't improved at daycare yet.

My LO is 10 months and takes 1 nap at daycare that's 20 minutes long, and usually (but not always) sleeps on the 25 minute car ride home. They have tried everything at daycare to get her to nap, but she will NOT nap. At home, she will only nap longer if I lay down with her; otherwise she's good to go after 20 minutes :/

My LO was like this (at least for crib naps - he would sometimes sleep longer if he was held/worn) until just recently. Right when he hit 8 months, his naps started getting longer and are now usually 1-1.5 hours. Maybe it just takes time for some LOs. Hang in there!

My LO is 7.5 months. She's been in daycare since she was 13 weeks for 4.5 days a week. She's always been a terrible napper. Even when she was a newborn, she would not sleep for more than 45 minutes.

It's to the point now where she's refusing to sleep during the day. The daycare ladies can usually get her to take 2 naps during the day and they are 20-35 minutes long.

I requested they try for three naps a day because she seems happier on a three nap schedule even if they are short naps, but it's not really been working out.

If her naps would lengthen, I wouldn't worry so much, but it seems crappy for her to get such little sleep during the day. Is there anything I can do?!?!
