I will answer this for DH, he is a SAHD and I just went back to work 2 weeks ago from maternity. He is doing great, and was not especially nervous about it, but is so sick of everyone asking "SO, how's it going?" with the connotation that he is in way over his head. His mom asked him about 15 times the weekend before I went back "So, are you ready to be Mr. Mom?" That really offended him, and me too - DS has a mom, and she is not a Mr.! Anyway, I would say people are just trying to make conversation and/or checking on you, but its hard not to get annoyed sometimes.

How long have you been staying at home? I know I fall into that category of asking 'how are you doing' after friends have babies. I want to hear how their healing process is going and if they need to chat, just want them to know I'm there for them. Are the questions more geared towards, "how are you doing, omg I couldn't imagine staying at home for so long!"? or just general "How are you" questions?

Did I just make you even more crazy by asking you more questions? :)

...and tell everyone that "yes, I am ok, and for the love of all things STOP ASKING!!"?

Sorry /rant. Being a SAHM is hard sometimes and I have my own struggles that I'm working through and I know people mean well but the questioning is seriously driving me up a wall and making me super cranky. Anyone else with me?
