@indi: I have no twins in mine BUT a psychic (landlady of pub but she keeps getting weird things right) randomly came up to me and told me I would have some. Don't actually believe it though. Twins would be lovely but I don't think I'm organised enough!

@Snowdrop: We have twins in my family, which, of course, no one decided to tell me until AFTER we got our :bfp: . Thankfully, my OB is super nice and gave us an US at 9 weeks just to be sure. Eep! Just one this time. :-)

Ooh I feel it both sides with one becoming more dominant... I hope that doesn't mean twins are a possibility!

Prior to pregnancy, I could always tell when I was ovulating because I'd feel the twinge/dull stab on my left side every month (Lord, help me if I'm just not feeling the right and I'm in line for twins one day!). Also, the day or two before my period shows up, my actual vagina will feel a stab or cramp or two. Annoying, but it's nice to have a warning.

Bumping this and wondering about other people's O pain experiences. I tend to feel twinges low down for ages before O. maybe a week or so at times. They are not painful but definitely there. I know they are related to O as the stop as soon as I ovulate. Is this weird?

I had a sharp burst of pain at cd6 but my predicted O day wasnt until the 15th. I googled and searched and I found that your ovaries or ovary can be expelling extra fluid or something in preperation to Ovulating. I think if C,M(eggwhite) is present and you feel this sharp pain its definatley a sign your ovualting.

I do most months. In fact, I just had my first post-baby cycle and I knew it was coming because of that, along with other physical signs that my body was getting back to normal. If you're TTC, BD before you feel it, but day of couldn't hurt I suppose.

Found this on it: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002472/

@hellobeeboston, yes something German-sounding like that!

I'm so glad I asked because I really didn't know about the timing of getting the sperm in before ovulation. I didn't chart or anything when I got pregnant the first time.

I'm tempted to get some OPKs to see how they line up with my symptoms. Now I'm just curious!

Yes! I'm on Clomid too and had the worst pains yesterday. Based in my positive OPK the day before, I think mine are actual O pains

I get a slight ache (on my left side this month and on both sides last month) but it comes after O. From my reading, I have deduced that it could be a kind of bruising following the ovulation. Some people, however, say that they feel pains at the point of O. Either way, get BDing BEFORE you feel the pains as it can take sperm about 12 hours to get up to the fallopian tubes and become ready to penetrate the egg.

Is it called middleshmirtz or something?

I noticed this once or twice when I was really tracking and testing for ovulation with OPKs!

I'm sure you could dtd at this time, but I think it's also good to do it before you are ovulating? I relied on the OPKs

I do sometimes. It seems to correspond exactly with O day for me, but I've read that it can also be in the days leading up to it and the days following it.

Around the time the I should be ovulating (10-12 days after period begins) I have certain symptoms and a sort of stabbing pain in my abdomen. There's a name for it, I feel too lazy to Google it right now.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has it and if so, when should we have, ahem, "relations"? Is it better to try right after I feel the pain?

Oh and also I don't remember having this before I had my son. Isn't it strange how pregnancy changes our bodies!
