I've had a smart tv for about three years now. It is awesome and doesnt have the restrictions that apple tv has. Some of them even cameras i think and you can skype with them. We can also connect our phones and play music through the speaker. I wouldn't pay too much more for the option since a roku is &lt;$100. My TV happened to have it, so it's convenient when I actually want to watch netflix, which is rare. We use it mainly for lO to watch you tube videos of elmo and Choo Choo Soul.
