DH and I Elfad both of our upstairs closets when I moved in (they are both tiny coat closets for BOTH our bedrooms) and we were actually just back last weekend - now designing *4* new systems in preparation for LO. We're installing two sets of shelves in the kitchen, one set of shelves in the living room, and two wall hanging-basket thingies for spices and whatnot in the kitchen. I'm hoping all this new shelf space (we don't have a pantry) will give us somewhere to put all our appliances/china that are currently sitting wrapped in boxes in our 2nd bedroom/soon-to-be-nursery. :) We didn't order it last week because of the sale coming up, but are going back Saturday to get all of it. This time we're ordering installation too (the sale is 30% off the Elfa + another 30% off installation!) so for all 4 systems - wait, 5 since we're doing 2 lines of boxes - it'll be a huge savings. We first got it when we lived in a condo. Moved and took it all with us! Even DH was completely sold on it once we had it installed. For a few weeks in this house we didn't have the Elfa installed yet (and closets are actually smaller) and he was like "we need to install the Elfa!" I'm doing the nursery closet right now. It's half done, and I'm waiting for the sale (they told me it starts in January) to get my remaining pieces.<br /> A couple of the closets in this house had the Closetmaid stuff (like Elfa but from Home Depot) and the quality was SO sub-par. Even DH couldn't stand it. The Elfa is just so much stronger and more durable. And I love that I can re-arrange things myself. For the nursery, we can change the height and spacing of the bars and shelves as LO grows up. Infinitely reconfigurable - I love it!</p> <p>P.S. They have a big sale twice a year. Once in Jan. and once in the Summer. I can't remember which is which, but I think one is 30% off and one is 40% off. For my initial big investment, I purchased all the main components during one sale, and all the wood fascias and extras during the next sale. I'll probably finish all the Elfa projects I want to do in this house in 2013 during the sales. Has anyone used the Elfa system in a nursery closet? Was it worth the expense? My OCD and nesting side is coming out and I'm very curious to go and find out what it would cost. I wasn't originally planning to put a dresser in her room because we already have a changing table with storage. </p>
