@JessicaMcB: the pictures melt my heart!

my girls have been apart but my oldest gets sad when sis isn't around. And sis LIGHTS UP when she hears her sisters voice. She's stating to crawl and always goes into her room if she doesn't see her. It's adorable.

@skipra: I've never been away from my girls except for the deliveries of DD2 and DD3 (yikes! haha) and they've never been away from each other more than an hour. I honestly worry about them both when DD1 goes to school because I can see them needing each like your boys do. Because they're only 15 months apart and where DD1 falls in the year we have the potential to put them in kindy at the same time which we're still pondering.

I also really wonder how DD3 will end up factoring in (DD1 likes to tell her, "Kate's my best friend, but you're my best baby Mia.") as they get older. They like to love on the baby but as far as they're concerned she's more like a rolly pet than a person haha!

That is so sweet! My boys love to be together too. It makes my heart melt when they will just randomly start hugging each other. DS2 in particular always wants his big brother around but DS1 has started to want to play with his baby brother all the time too and will call for or go find him so that they can play together.
ETA: DS1 is fine doing things on his own, like going to preschool and DS2 is perfectly happy having one-on-one time with me...BUT when I have to put him in the babysitting room so I can volunteer, he screams the entire 3 hours. It is horrible. He is better at the gym daycare when his brother is with him. So at 18 months, he totally still needs his brother if DH and I are both gone.

They're fine when the other one isn't around, although DS (3) might ask where DD (1) is. But when I ask DD if she wants to go pick up her brother from school she gets SO excited! It's pretty adorable. DS loooves his little sister so much too. Your kids sound so freaking cute though!

Well, E gets a little distraught sometimes if T isn't nearby and I say he's sleeping. Sometimes she accepts that and sometimes she's really, visibly upset by it. Which I haven't really put a lot of thought into.

DD1 and DD2 are 15 months apart and are self-proclaimed best friends. Especially since DD3 arrived 3 months ago though its become apparent they are really dependant on each other and are completely lost if the other is having a nap or is out with daddy, etc. DD1 slept in randomly this morning and DD2 wandered around crying and asking where she was until she got up.

Does anyone else have non-twin siblings who are attached at the hip? When did they adjust to being apart if ever?
