I had an ergo with my first DD and got a Beco Gemini for second DD. I'm not much help because I'll say I liked both and recommend both... But I do think the Ergo is best all-around. They have so many different kinds now too than before when I had my first, but I can't comment on those. The Gemini is padded though if that's what you're looking for. It also doesn't need an infant insert.

I have both the beco butterfly and ergo. I had the ergo first with my DS. Really liked it and he was always very comfortable in it. With DD, She didn't seem as comfortable in it as DS was. We were gearing up for a trip so I picked up a butterfly off of Craigslist. Ironically, the day I picked it up, I put DD in the ergo once more and she seemed fine and has been happy in it ever since. So I am just using the ergo because I'm more used to it. I feel like there's more steps to putting on the butterfly. I do also like the padding of the ergo more. It's bulkier but I don't mind that much.

I have the ergo and love it! I've never tried the Beco though..
LO is 1 this month (she's tall for her age) and we still use the Ergo every time we go out.

I have the Beco Butterfly and used it with my LO. But I'm looking for something that might be a little more padded/comfortable for baby #2. I love the way the Beco looks and love that it's small and fits me well. But I tried on the Ergo at my friend's house and it seemed bulkier and more comfortable for the baby?

I was just wondering if any of you mommies have the Beco and Ergo. Which would you recommend?
