My husband hated to clean it and we ultimately got a cuisinart grill/griddle, which we've used more. However, I should say that my husband has pretty low tolerance when it comes to doing dishes - just not his thing - and does not like cleaning cast iron. We use the griddle side a lot but use the grill side very infrequently. The grill side is kind of annoying to clean and I also have a standard grill pan (non-cast iron, so I can use soap to clean) and live in Georgia so winter grilling is usually fine. I've found it hard to clean in the grooves. Plus, since it goes over two burners, there are hot and cold spots. I keep forgetting to give it away or sell it. ETA: I actually got an electric griddle that I use all of the time for things like pancakes and french toast. My kids could live on french toast so I batch cook a couple of loaves at a time and keep it in the freezer. It's a great griddle. We pan fry meat a lot, so we don't use it super frequently. I've used it a lot over 8 years, so it's a nice kitchen griddle.
