<p>I believe it is cyclical during the year just like car prices.

<p>I've noticed that with a lot of retailers the prices for the same pieces of furniture seem to go up and down on some kind of cycle. I have been stalking a bed from Wayfair and it goes from $600-$900 regularly and now the same thing happened with our crib (that I still haven't purchased). </p>
<p>When I first picked it out it was $299, then the price went up to $399 then down to $338 and now back up to $399. Is it the time of year? What drives the price changes and when should I buy it?
